| We're off to Paris! Or so we thought! |
What went right about today? Almost nothing!
The first real tragedy happened before we even made it out of the country.... dads poor corn had some damage from the storm last night....
Next, we couldn't get to the Ambassadors bridge! Our Tom Tom hasn't been updated for a couple years....so it took us the back way...which was not good. We ended up in a very sketchy part of Detroit and went under a super scary bridge all alone. We didn't think we would make it out alive, but we did! After all of this, we saw a rainbow! We thought this was a good sign... it wasn't....
We arrived in Windsor, and went to Swiss Challet for dinner. Mom got a roast beef sandwich and I got chicken pot pie! They were both delicious!
We finally arrived at the Windsor airport and found out our flight was delayed until 10. Originally, it was set to leave at 9:05. We thought we would make our connecting flight in Toronto because their flights had been delayed as well. This was not the case. We ended up leaving Windsor at about 10:45 and arrived in Toronto at around 12. Then we had to go to customer service to get a new flight to Paris. We will be leaving Toronto at 6:45 tomorrow hopefully on our way to Paris! Although we lost about a day and a half in Paris, we did get about $90 in food vouchers at our complimentary hotel and the airport..... can you say ROOM SERVICE!
My camera has a cool feature that takes video between you taking pictures. So here is a video of today's adventures. It is a little shaky at time so sorry! Please pay special attention to mom singing Detroit Rock City and our awkward selfie videos ;)
